Death Threats Over A Swimsuit

I was gonna write about how obesity may have an evolutionary bias...I think I found something better:How religion controls, one of my favorite topics. The controlling nature of religion creates atheists. Go ahead religion keep controlling and and our numbers will grow from the current 12% here in the states to hella more.

Currently there is controversy over, get this....a swimsuit. Designer Lisa Blue, in an attempt to, I guess promote religion, has outraged Hindus. Her recent design depicts the goddess Lakshmi. "L" represents, among other things, wealth, prosperity, courage and fertility. I have heard of American Christians getting their panties in a bunch over using "the Lords name in vain" or getting pissed over uses of his image, but this is the first time I've heard of Hindus getting pissed.

The designer has..."receiving tons of comments after posting a model wearing the swimsuit in question on its site: "Largely aimed at the label and its designer Lisa Burke, they've ranged from statements of concern to mild slurs, and at the other end of the spectrum have also included curses and all out death threats."

Here is some photo's of the controversial swimsuit.

Of course I'm an atheist so I find nothing wrong with a reproduced image of a goddess, or a god for that matter. And you know what, to tell you the truth, I really, really, really, really, really, really like it a lot. A lot. So much. And the swimsuit is not bad either.

This offends me. Where is the outrage over this. Sheez
