Please No, Not...Hippster Christianity

I'm not bragging when I say this...I've always been really popular (jock/student government/cool guy), super well liked and while I've never considered my self what is now called a hippster, fo sho I'm not mainstream, and I've always called it-alternative. So you can imagine why my smile is so totally huge right now (my smile is totally huge right now), upon discovering...Hippster Christianity. Oh, lord.

I've seen all kinds of bands, never Christian punk rock, tho.

Even I jumped on the Timmy Tebow bandwagon last week, I mean if God favors Timmy, then who am I to diss that, and I'm a frackin' atheist. Everytime dude proselytizes on national TV, in front of the whole nation...I cringe (where's the atheist exposure), he makes Christianity and external profession of faith in the public square, OK, cool in an "awh shucks" kinda way and err, cool.

Not to be left behind, that kid I wrote about last year because I had never heard of him and he was in the news all of the time, is making Beliebers outta many, not because he says "Jesus loves you" at the end of his shows, but because he is sporting that coolest of cool possessions for a hippster...a tattoo...a tattoo of "HIM".

Will someone tell dude that Jesus was probably...brown and not fair.

 I have reported on mixed martial arts Churches, gangster churches, WBC, LGBT churches, the minister that only drank beer for lent, but I don't recall reporting of the hippster churches. Apparently I smoke too much pot, because this article was written in 09'. Why didn't anyone tell me about this.

Man, I really got a boner for this one. The rest of today will be dedicated to reading up on Hippster Christianity...and yes, I'm an atheist nerd.
