I Thought The Headline Wuz Teh Funniez

I haven't been to Carnival in Brazil or N.O., but I have been to the one in the City and I ain't complaining. In fact it is one of the most off the hooks thingies I've ever been to...and it's free.

First thing I read this morning "Religious Carnival bands use samba to proslytize." Then I looked at pictures...

One of the cool things is that it's pretty much a dance competition between all the samba schools...and hot chicks.

Her, "Welcome to Carnival, welcome." Me, "thanks."

At first it's hard to see, but this is a whole troupe of dancers.

Then there's the epic "rave" shit. Wow.

I want so badly to be on "e" and dancing on that...one day. Oh and with a beer, after all, I'm American.

Really, to be wacked out on good "e", with the music, the dancing, all the pretty visuals, then you see something like this dude all of a sudden...that's a game changer, buddy. Epic.

If this is prosletyzing, then it's not fair.
Really who cares about hot women anyways...not me. Sure it's super sexed up-n-stuff but there is much more than that. The dance competition encompasses hella big groups. Maybe even a small town...I dunno, why not. When I went to the one in the City, I thought it was totally cool that little kids were out there performing. To us it's a party, them it's their culture. Little kids, old people, dancers and musicians and musician-dancers it's the coolest thing.

Forget that it has religious roots (is it Carnival starts lent that is why you party so much), the shit is just fun. Maybe I'll go to the one in the City if it hasn't happened. Ok whatevah...coffee...
